The bite has been decent the past few days with the cool weather we had come in. We have still been starting early in with top waters and squarebills on points then switching to 3/4 oz santone football jigs and big smashtech worms once the sun gets up.
The McDonalds tournament is just around the corner so if you're looking to pre fish, I've been on some good unders lately that will make you some money in the tournament.
I'll also be starting my fall special trips on the power plant lakes after labor day weekend. My rate for these trips is $300 for a full day and this special will last through December. The fish have bit well on the hot water lakes all year and I'm expecting this fall to be a really fun one. The fall is a good time of the year to book a split full day trip with me where we can hit the hot water lakes in the morning and finish the day chasing some big schooling fish on fork.
Regardless of what your needs are, we can line something up so give me a call 214-566-8360 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Good luck on the water!

Lake fork is currently -0.68 ft off of full pool with water temps ranging from 86-92 degrees in the areas we are fishing. We have been catching some fish early on topwater baits such as yellow magics and zara spooks early in the morning around main lake points, drains and short pockets with shore line floating grass in 1-5 ft. We have also been catching some in the mornings on top of points with hard bottoms in 5-10 ft of water on Santone Football jigs in PB&J with a Smash Tech smash craw green pumpkin trailer and a 6th sense crush 50x squarebill crankbait in supermodel shad. Around 9:30 we are moving out to deeper water and fishing main lake humps, road beds and creek channel bends with Carolina and Texas rigged Smash Worms by Smash Tech in plum, Drop shots with plum and tomato finesse worms, 1 ounce Santone football jigs, Flutter spoons and a 1 oz Santone S3 Swimbait head with a Smash Tech Stroker Shad Swimbait. The thermocline is developing strongly in 22-25 ft of water where we are fishing so it's important to be sure you're fishing shallower than that depth range.
Here are a few pictures from my last few trips.
I still have dates open in August and September and will be running my evening special trips ($250 for 1 or two people) through the end of august. I'll also be running half day white bass freezer filler trips for the same price, which includes cleaning and bagging fish. If you're looking to get on some fish for the McDonalds tournament next month be sure to give me a call ASAP to book a trip, I have been catching some pretty good money fish lately that will hold up well for the tournament.
I am also selling my 2010 Phoenix 721 Pro XP. If you are interested in buying a great used boat that's loaded and ready to go catch some big fish give me a call.
Tight lines and good luck on the water,
